My thirst for travel and adventure started at age 5, when I ran away from home in Memphis and got all the way to Nashville by myself.
Since then, I’ve had many more travel adventures. I spent part of my high school senior year in Barranquilla, Colombia as an exchange student. I’ve explored all 50 US states and several of her territories. Outside the US, I’ve been to all 7 continents of the world, having traveled outside the country more than 30 times, with visits to more than 50 countries.
I know that travel changes life in a good way. During my own adventures I’ve met people and seen the sights from Egypt to Bali to Europe to the northern tip of Africa. I’ve traveled through Central and South America, New Zealand, and parts of Australia.
Travelers have their own personalities and likes. There’s no one way to do it. But based on what you are looking for, I can recommend and book travel that will give you forever memories and experiences.
I’ve traveled in groups and alone, but my usual partner in crime is my husband, Bill. He might not be quite as fast to click on the deals as I am, but in the end he is always happy we’ve had the adventure.
I’m a firm believer that we are better citizens of the world when we travel and understand other cultures and peoples. I believe that you haven’t had a great trip unless you get lost at least once. As the saying goes, “the destination isn’t the journey.”
