Winter’s cold arms start holding you tight by February, when spring is still too far away but you’re REALLY ready for a cold weather break. The simplest and easiest way to feel warm again is to book a brief cruise from one of Florida’s ports. Here are two I recommend.
- Royal Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale to, stopping in Belize and Cozumel, Mexico – you can grab an inexpensive cabin for just under $500! That’s your room and your meals plus access to all this newly-refurbished ship has to offer. We’re talking a FlowRider surf simulator, a rock climbing wall, ice-skating rink, cantilevered whirlpools, Royal Promenade, mini golf course, and more on this ship. Want details? E-mail us at TravelChangesLife@gmail.com. I’ll be on this cruise myself!
- Princess Cruises from Fort Lauderdale to two Mexican ports – Cozumel and Costa Maya. Contact me to book an oceanview cabin for under $500 (cabin with no view can be had for under $450!). This ship features 5 pools, a putting green, a spa, and all the normal fitness amenities. Just email TravelChangesLife@gmail.com to book.
Here’s my take on brief cruises – buy the cheaper cabin, you aren’t going to be on the ship long enough that it will make a difference. You’ll be up hanging out at the pool or off the ship exploring – and what you save in cabin costs you can put toward a fun shore excursion or two. You want sun! The cabin isn’t the focus for a brief getaway cruise, so why spend tall dollars for it?
Fort Lauderdale is an easy flight destination if you’re not within driving distance of the port. We can help you with airline reservations, too. If you are driving we’ll provide information about parking your vehicle during the cruise – we’ve done that and know the ropes.
